Basic Stance
Your Basic Stance on a Skateboard will depend on every person, some people are Regular foot, and some Goofy foot, and dont worry calling someone Goofy foot is not a insult, NE ways, Regular stance is when you ride, Left foot in front and right foot in back, Goofy foot is when your Right foot is in the lead, and left foot in the back. Your gonna have to decide which one feels more comfortable. Then, put your lead foot right over the front screws, paralell with the board, then with your back foot, push off and then switch your feet, onto the board so that your front foot turns sideways, and your back foot is sideways on the tail, that is the basic stance of skateboarding, youll need to practice this B4 you can try NE tricks.

.
  The Ellusive Ollie
An Ollie is the most important Skateboard move you will ever learn. An ollie is the act of making the board pop up with you so you can jump over things and do other tricks. To do this, you have to put your lead foot around the middle of the board, kind of at a slant, then with your back foot, put your toes on the very tip of the tail, also at a slant, then jump up, and pop the tail with your back foot, pretty much at the same time, then drag your lead foot to the nose of the board, this will level out the board so that you can jump, if you dont do this, you will fall off and you will not ollie. NE ways drag your front foot to the nose, level it out, and then while your in the air, press down with both your feet and land on all 4 wheels. and there you go you have done an ollie.

Practice!!!
The next thing you need to do, is just practice moving and getting used to switching your feet on. Get used to Ollies while standing still and learn that, then you can move on to the next step, Ollies in motion.

Ollie in motion!
This will take you awhile to learn. Its pretty much the same thing as an Ollie while standing still, cept the foot placement is a little different, instead of putting your front foot in the middle of the board, put it right behind the front screws. Then its all the same as an ollie, but while your in air make sure your feet land on the nose and the tail of the board, you will have the best balance this way and wont fall so ezally. Practice this then you will be ready to go onto the advanced tricks.
